While other states are moving quickly to make Medicaid a stronger tool for fighting the COVID pandemic, Wisconsin has failed to expand BadgerCare.

Governor Evers and the Department of Health Services have put forth a comprehensive proposal ready to submit to our federal leaders to strengthen the ability of health care providers in our state to use Medicaid in the fight against the virus and would make Wisconsin eligible for an increase in federal Medicaid funding authorized by Congress.

Governor Evers' State Budget includes important improvements to public health and private health insurance. The clock is ticking and our State Legislator need to act now to help Wisconsin respond to the COVID crisis.
